Safe and Seamless License Activation: POINT-OF-USE ACTIVATION

The FlatBurger Code Protection system creates the locked doors around the different pieces of your application.  That protected application can then be distributed absolutely anywhere with the knowledge that someone will not be able to unlock those doors and use your application unless they have purchased the proper keys.

Many licensing systems rely on an integration with an installation process.  One of the downfalls of relying on this approach alone is that many application frameworks and install tools offer very few, if any, integrations with licensing tools.  The FlatBurger Licensing System is both application platform and installer agnostic.  While we do allow the direct integration with a custom installer, the system does not depend on it.  We enable this through our ‘Point of Use’ license activation process.

The FlatBurger Point of Use Activation Process allows an application to be installed by any normal mechanism.  Upon execution of a protected method inside of an application, a valid license is checked for, and if not found, the user is prompted for an activation with a friendly, easy to use message.  If they user has already purchased a valid license, they may enter their activation key, and immediately activate and begin using their application.license activation screen

If a user has not already purchased a valid license to the application, or specific application feature, they are trying to access, they may click a button to ‘Get an Activation Key’.  Upon clicking this, the user is presented with an interface to quickly and easily select and purchase a license package for that application.

This provides an excellent way to both acquire a new customer, as well as upsell existing ones that may be using a trial or limited feature package.  All of this happens in an automated, seller-branded, self-service way that requires no management overhead on the part of the seller, as well as providing instant gratification for your customers.

Point-of-Use License Activation, coupled with Point-of-Use License Acquisition, is a unique combination of capabilities that the FlatBurger Licensing system provides.
